Due to a cancellation we have one place available on this weekends' Powerboat Level II training and assessment.
Call us now to secure the last place and collect your course notes. Upon successful completion of a Powerboat Level II course, you can apply for a commercially endorsed powerboat licence. Aigua Sea School has a supply of commercial endorsement application forms in the office and we will assist you with the process. Refer to the commercial endorsement section of this web site for more information. The commercial licence acts like your 'driving licence' for open boats, powerboats, sports boats, tenders etc. Call in or email the Aigua team for more information.

The RYA publish information on the Professional Practices and Responsibilities (PPR) , a compulsory online course for all new and revalidating RYA Commercial Endorsement holders, from April 2012 onwards.
Aigua will keep you fully updated on the RYA developments and this is the information we have so far ...
Who this course is for
Each year approximately 4,500 people apply to the RYA for a commercial endorsement in order to use their RYA qualifications professionally as skipper or crew. You could be doing anything from delivering a new 35’ yacht for its owner or driving a workboat with lifting and towing gear, to running a superyacht in the Med, complete with a large crew to manage. Whatever your job is on board, in the commercial world you are a professional seafarer. As such, you are no different from the captain of a cruise liner – you have a duty of care to crew, passengers, and other water users, and you will be held to account if things go wrong. This course is for you.
Why this course is needed
As a competent skipper you have already passed a rigorous practical exam. You will also have specialist training in sea survival, first aid and radio use. But, is that enough to prepare you for your new role in the professional maritime world?
SOLAS, COSWoP, MARPOL, Flag State and Port State Authorities, to name but a few, are all things that a commercial seafarer is expected to know about and understand. Like any other professional industry, commercial boat operations are subject to a vast array of rules, regulations and conventions. This course aims to make you aware of the various regulations under which a commercial mariner must operate.
This just has to go online ... I copy to you an email from a lovely guy who's been training with us the last two weeks and successfully achieved Yachtmaster with Aigua...
"Thank you very much for everything and thank you for running such a great professional school. Both Tim and John were fantastic teachers. Those 2 and yourself have been nothing but helpful, supportive and informative. The whole... 2 weeks was run so well. Everything was planned perfectly and ran so smoothly. I had done my Powerboat Level II and AEC with (Another sea school in Palma) and did not exactly have much good feedback after those 2 courses. I just thought that maybe that was the standard here. I almost chose to do my Yachtmasters with them as it would have been cheaper (because I had done the other courses), but I am very glad that I did not. Your school shines above them.
Everything was amazing and I will thank you once again. I will highly reccommend other people looking to do courses to use your school without a doubt. And I think Ill be seeing you again next year for a Yachtmaster Ocean and maybe more."
Whilst we continue to celebrate 100% Yachtmaster OFFSHORE success (again) this weekend, we do welcome the Yachtmaster OCEAN students starting today, Monday 21 November.
